BALL THRUST BEARINGS
We manufacture groove ball thrust
and flat race ball thrust bearings in our ball thrust bearing line. We use only
fine bearing steel and, when a cage is
required, incorporate bronze retainers. These bearings are used in pump and fan applications,
when higher rpms are necessary while minimizing levels of noise. In order to provide the smoothest
running surfaces available, the raceways are ground to exacting tolerances. The ball thrust bearing line is manufactured in both inch and metric dimensions.
These bearings are the functional equivalent of our competitors' line.
The chart below provides a cross reference guide of our bearing type compared to our
competitors designation.

CYLINDRICAL ROLLER THRUST BEARINGS
B&RB has manufactured cylindrical roller thrust bearings
since the early 1900s. All of our roller thrust bearings
are made from the finest bearing steels, with bronze retainers. Our
product line of cylindrical roller thrust bearings' diameters range from
¾" to 24". They are the dimensional and load rating equivalent of our
competitor's bearings. Cylindrical roller thrust bearings are used in
applications requiring low to medium RPMs and axial thrust
load ratings greater than those achieved by using ball bearings.
The chart below is a cross reference guide of some of our inch dimension,
light, medium and heavy load rating bearings compared to our competitors
designation.

TAPERED ROLLER THRUST BEARINGS
Our tapered roller thrust bearings are used extensively in oil
exploration and drilling equipment, plastic extrusion equipment,
gear reduction equipment, crane hooks, and any other application when
large amounts of axial thrust are generated. These bearings are the
direct equivalent to the Timken - Torrington series. The chart below
is a cross reference guide of our bearing type compared to our competitors'

RADIAL ROLLER BEARINGS
B&RB manufactures a wide variety of radial roller bearings up
to 24" in diameter. This bearing is used in applications
requiring a radial load rather than an axial load. All running surfaces
are ground to ABMA standards and tolerances and bronze retainers are used
to separate the hardened and ground rollers when the bearings are
not full complement. Our radial bearings are the dimensional and
functional equivalent of the Torrington and Rollway series. These
bearings can be supplied in either millimeter or inch dimensions.

JOURNAL ROLLER BEARINGS
Journal Roller Bearings are used in many rolling applications.
These bearings are typically used in paper and textile mill applications,
transport devices, oil production and a variety of processing
applications. All of our journal roller bearings are made from the
finest bearing steels, hardened on all running surfaces,
ground to ABMA standards and tolerances and utilize bronze retainers.
At your request, we can substitute stainless steel for all rolls, casings and sleeves. In addition, depending upon your
requirement, the journal roller assembly can be provided by itself or with a casing and sleeve. We maintain a large inventory of component parts that can be assembled within a day or two for our standard catalogue sizes.

"SPECIAL" ROLLER BEARINGS
B&RB can manufacture many different types of
bearings as "specials" for your specific needs. When standard bearings
don't suffice, we can provide design assistance for new applications.
In addition, our engineering department can work with you to reverse
engineer a bearing to your specifications when, for example, a bearing
that may no longer be available requires replacement. We provide a
service to you to ensure your equipment continues to be operational long
after replacement bearings aren't available, or when other vendor lead
times are unacceptable. If you are having trouble locating a specific
bearing, please contact our engineering department.
You'll be pleasantly surprised as to how creative and responsive
B&RB can be in solving your replacement bearing problems in
the shortest possible lead time.
